My name is Jérémy, I am 24 years old, and I am an engineering student in Paris.

I started playing the piano at the age of seven and studied for eleven years at a conservatory in Paris. There, I took classes in classical piano, music theory, sight-reading, and instrumental reading.

In the summer of 2021, I started playing my own arrangements of pop, rap, and hip-hop songs. These are often not the kinds of songs pianists naturally think of playing. You do not necessarily hear a Kanye West song and immediately think, “I’m going to play that on the piano” (at least when you’re a classical pianist).

And when piano versions do exist, I often find them quite bad: block chords, an extremely basic melody, and very little actual arranging. They do not really capture what I love about the original songs. So I decided that I would simply create my own versions, using everything I had learned at the conservatory.

I love these songs so much that I want to give them a genuine piano interpretation, rather than simply playing their melody over a few chords.

One important thing to know about my sheet music is that it often provides a framework rather than a complete transcription. For some pieces, I have written down almost everything exactly as I play it in my YouTube videos. In most cases, however, the left hand is mainly written as block chords.

When I play, I give myself a lot of freedom. I interpret each song in my own way, and if I play the same arrangement ten times, all ten versions will probably be different. The sheet music is therefore intended to give you a foundation that you can then make your own.

Finally, these arrangements are not intended for beginners. You need to be fairly comfortable at the piano, especially if you want to play them in a way that resembles what I do in my videos.
